My name is Ellen de Boer. I live in Amstelveen, the Netherlands. After a few years of shooting with point-and-shoot cameras mainly during holidays, in July 2004 I bought my first SLR camera, a NikonD70. This was the start of a new and serious hobby. I discovered the joy of making beautiful images!
It started with a trip to the UK to visit and shoot some famous gardens. A few months later we travelled to India to go searching for tigers! After this very fruitful trip I was really hooked to nature photography.
We try to travel once or twice a year to countries all over the world where we can encounter various wildlife.
Besides that I explore the nature in our own little country and try to show the diversity of nature, big and small.
I have upgraded via a Nikon D300 to a Nikon D7100 with more than enough pixels.
Since 2012 I am a member of the VAN(Vereniging van Amateur Natuurfotografen Amstelveen)
